Dear Friends,
The excitement began even before my trip. On Thursday I realized that I did not have my passport - that it was still at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. I had a moment of panic realizing that I a) didn't have a visa for India, and b) didn't have a passport to get into any other country either....and I was slated to leave in three day! I posted my concern on Facebook, and lo and behold, my friend John Johnson posted, "I am in SF. Maybe they would let me pick it up for you. Coming back tomorrow." Anyway, to make a longer story shorter, John was able to personally pick up my passport (and visa) on Friday morning before he got on a plane to come home. A pastor from Africa later posted, "He is able!!!!! He just let us know that He is in it. Go ye unto the world." A pretty exciting way to begin this trip!
